Manufax has successfully delivered a significant design and manufacture metallic tooling package for composite components to our customer in Malaysia.

The tooling package consisting of multiples of Mould Tools and Vacuum Holding Fixtures for Flap and Aileron component skins was project managed and discharged thro' the Manufax in house manufacturing resource. Manufax were seen as a Company providing a high precision tooling capability to our client .... delivering close tolerance tooling, unachievable to other general engineering tooling Companies.

Following completion of the project Manufax received a letter of congratulations from the Client regarding our performance and project management.

Manufax Engineering secure contracts in excess of £ 2,000,000 for the supply of A330 and A340 Assembly Fixtures.

Contracts consist of design, manufacture and installation of steady state Assembly fixtures for the Airbus Filton site. Manufax offered Airbus an aggresive timing program to meet Airbus production demands.

 

Full installation and commission and hand over to the AUK team at Filton site was carried out by our in house jig building team and Metrology engineers using the latest USMN software.

In addition, the introduction of low cost subcontracting to Eastern Europe subcontractors ensured Airbus received value.

 

Manufax Engineering have recently completed the manufacture and installation of the A400M Partial Wing Build Fixture at Airbus Filton site.

Manufactured within our Stockport site and assembled on site with Leica Laser Tracker measurement this fixture is will build a composite A400M Test Wing Specimen.

 

 

Manufax have invested in a Nicolas Correa FP35 High Speed CNC 3-Axis Bridge Mill with a capacity of 4500mm x 2500mm x 1000mm. The machine is currently on trial and will be fully operational in Manufax by January 2007. This supplements the Manufax investment in 2005 of the Nicolas Correa FP50/50 5-Axis machine. Manufax achieves the Aerospace standard ASEN9100 to supplement the current ISO9001 certification.  The successful award of this approval follows from a review by an independent auditor.
